Why VerticalXchange? 

VerticalXchange needed a complete rebuild of their decade-old system, which struggled to handle the massive traffic spikes that occur during their high-profile executive exchanges. Their legacy platform couldn’t support the scheduling, logistics, and concierge-level service required during these critical weeks.


Designli stepped in to reimagine the entire workflow from scratch, creating a modern, scalable Xtranet capable of handling everything from flight coordination to day-of meeting schedules. The new system delivers a seamless experience for executives while dramatically reducing operational friction for the VerticalXchange team.

Building the ideal workflow

VerticalXchange wanted a frictionless process for getting executives matched, scheduled, prepared, and coordinated without the legacy “gremlins” that slowed down their old system.

Removing Friction From the Executive Experience

Executives didn’t want to learn a new tool or re-enter information manually. The new workflow had to sync everything: calendars, flights, dietary needs, files, pre-calls, attendee info, and match suggestions.

The experience needed to feel concierge-level but remain fully self-service on the attendee side, a delicate balance only a custom system could achieve.

UX/UI Design & Prototype.

To align non-technical stakeholders and ensure buy-in for such a complex rebuild, Designli created a fully clickable prototype that showed exactly how the new system would look and behave.

This high-fidelity prototype became the blueprint for development, allowing the VerticalXchange team to visualize the entire experience long before code was written and confidently sign off on the solution that would replace their decade-old platform.

A dedicated product team

Designli acted as VerticalXchange’s outsourced engineering department by assembling a full-time dedicated team of developers, designers, QA specialists, and a Product Owner to rebuild the system on an aggressive four-to-five-month timeline. The new Xtranet was successfully launched, tested, stable, and fully prepared to replace the legacy platform that had already begun to fail.

After launch, VerticalXchange wanted strong cost control without risking another decade of neglect. Designli crafted a custom maintenance plan with quarterly check-ins, ensuring that the system remains secure, updated, and resilient as technologies evolve.

We had an ancient system that our event attendees used for pre-event, during, and post-event processes that was no longer serving our needs. The developers of the old site were unable to service our ongoing needs. We researched many off the shelf products but couldn't find one that would check all of our boxes. As we started researching firms that could build a new system for us, Designli was able to provide the rebuild we needed now and help us create a roadmap to where we wanted to go in the future.
