Tap Picks is a great example of an app that went through Designli’s “Graphic Design & Prototyping” package, in order to discover the most intuitive way to lay out the interactions of the sports application. Below, note the evolution of the design of the app - from our initial concepts all the way to final design that is now seen on the Apple App Store. Designli specializes in wireframing, full UI design, and animated prototyping as the starting point for our software projects. Tap Picks started here and then evolved into a successfully designed - and, of course, developed - mobile app.
Tap Picks is a piece of development work that we’re proud to show off. Why? Designli handled the following aspects of the creation of this app:
We designed a fresh look and feel to the existing MVP the client brought to our table, and implemented this design into the existing code-base.
Python scripts were set to execute to update user voting statistics at set intervals throughout the day to keep the app fresh and up-to-date, and to send users their weekly statistics summary via email.
Using SportsRadar for real-time score updates is a constant juggle between having an up-to-date app and using the desired number of API calls (while, of course, not exceeding call quotas). We set up server-side Cron Jobs so as to call all third-party API’s at regular intervals.
What resulted is a popular sports game-picking app that has been well-received in the sports fan community. The app continues to be improved over time and is worth a look if you’re interested in winning weekly cash prizes for participating in the voting and discussions you love!
